Ric Jorge is a 29-year veteran of the fire service, serving 24 years with Palm Beach County as a career fireman. After being diagnosed with PTSD in 2008, Ric sought out help from sports and military psychologists to come back and finish the last 10 years of his career whole. He retired from his department in his late fifties to start his own training company, during immersive training based on the book he co-authored “Developing Firefighter Resiliency”. Ric works at a facility in Florida facilitating groups that are dedicated to uniformed personnel (firemen, LEO, veterans) struggling with substance abuse and mental health issues, and he is also a cancer survivor.

A glutton for punishment Ric has been married twice, has 6 kids, and 9 grandkids. He can be found surfing his local break with his wife in South Florida on his days off.

LCDR Mark Keller, U.S. Navy (Ret) is an engineer, entrepreneur, former F-14 Tomcat Radar Intercept Officer (RIO), F/A-18 Weapons Systems Officer (WSO), father of two sons, and a seasoned combat veteran who retired from the United States Navy suffering from PTSD and depression. He had a difficult experience with the VA and like so many others, was medicated into oblivion (Ativan), suffered through self-medication, and addiction, and then was further harmed by an uninformed “cold turkey” cessation. It turns out that the tolerance/dependence induced by years on Ativan set him up for the biggest fight of his life. Having survived all of this, he is now simply grateful to be alive.
